All puppies are handled from the time they are born by adults, but as they get to  around the age of 3 weeks old they get more attention from both adults and children. Early socialization is a vital part of a puppy's development and we feel interaction with people helps to develop character and gives them confidence. Our 6 through11 year old grandchildren at Mikayla Siberians always love to handle the puppies and have helped work them on a leash them under adult supervision. This helps for training and interaction with people and outside sounds. The result is a better socialized companion puppy and also makes for stress-free training of show puppies. Puppies older than 6-8 weeks may get some leash training.
